I was just thinking about what my favorite health and wellness tip is, and shot it out into my Show me Healthy fitness accountability group. I got so many tips in 2 minutes I was stunned. I feel like when someone asks me I overthink it, and come up with nada.
My favorite and most helpful weight loss tip?
I know what I need, and I need support. I have never been able to do this alone. In college I joined rowing to be a part of something and get fit! Becoming an athlete for the NCAA was only a perk of being a part of a bigger team.
When I was looking to lose weight after my hip surgery, I joined a gym that had free personal training. I needed the help in what to do, and the plan. The push to do more, was also a great bonus.
I joined an accountability challenge group and lost 25 pounds over the last two months.
I need support, and my desire to succeed lead me to where I sought out what I needed-Help.
I have started a friendship accountability group on Facebook, and if you are like me and need a little help to lose those last five pounds, bounce ideas off of others, recipe ideas. Whatever! I just want it to be a place of support, as well as a bragging place.
Accountability can be done in numerous ways, and seeing as I LOVE social media it is my way of choice. My blogger friends, real friends, and strangers online share amazing things that help me achieve my goals! I just find it SO cool!
