The Dr. Ohhira Difference- a 3 in one probiotic you need to try to feel the difference.

Today is 40 days using the Dr. Ohhria Probiotic!!

I had pretty much given up hope for these life-changing probiotics people talk about, until taking Dr. Ohhira’s.

Are you ready for Back to School “Flu,” Halloween, and The Holidays? Read more on why you want to get started on with Dr. Ohhira’s amazing probiotics now to prep!

I received this product for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com) to use and post my honest opinions. Compensation for this post was provided, and this page may contain affiliate links

Dr. Ohhira’s is my second favorite supplement/ health product THAT I’VE EVER USED. EVER. I try a lot of stuff too, those grocery store end caps and advertisements are made for me. I love trying new products for home, health, and beauty. Once I find something that works amazing for me I am a loyal customer until my need for it runs out, or an innovation occurs.

With flu season creeping up upon us, I am happy to get my gut in check. It is not just germs that cause kids (and grown-ups!) to get sick. A big factor is the strength of their immune response, and that starts in the digestive tract where over 70% of immune system cells are.

Probiotics.

They are making a SURGE in the market for a reason. Just like any product, there is something that works for everyone, but with our modern day diets, most people would benefit from adding these “healthy bugs” to their gut biome.

I have struggled with digestion my whole life, but throughout college, I had extreme pain and issues. I will spare you the nitty gritty details, but constipation is the worst. I struggled until I started doing elimination diets and finally making permanent changes. Pain and scary side effects left, but I still struggle with constipation most days. Even trying a 100% vegan diet for a month, I struggled.

I have taken probiotics here and there over the last three years. Probiotics people SWEAR to change their lives, and I sit after months on them noticing zero difference in my life.

Dr. Ohhira Probiotic Difference

I used a 4-week calendar to track my experience and take notes. I wanted to see if the hype around this product (and the price tag) were going to make any changes. I did not change my diet or my activity level. By day three I was starting to become REGULAR. I forgot to take the probiotic one weekend, and it was almost immediately back to normal, unfortunately. For two months I have had stomach pain after dinner with little to no answer why. After 1.5 weeks of Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics – I am pain-free.

What is the difference between my old pre and probiotics that I purchased separately? Well, it feels like everything, but here are a few of the awesome things these little black capsules provide.

  • These are a 3 in one: Probiotics, Probiotics, and postbiotics.
  • Fermented for three years, with whole foods.
  • The 12 strains chosen based off research live in synergy for three years while they ferment, so when they get to work on your gut biome, they work and build a better gut together unlike freeze dried and combined probiotics.
  • You don’t need probiotics in the billions to make a difference in your gut, and the POSTBIOTICS is the product of a three-year relationship – which give a much more significant result than and CFU listing.
  • Acid resistant capsules: GET IT WHERE IT NEEDS TO GO!

My 4-week experience

The first week I took two a day. I wanted to jump start my gut with these things. I mean it is listed as a food supplement, backed by science. I was ready to dive in and reboot. I started my 30-day journal tracking water, the time I took my probiotic, energy, and bathroom visits ;-).

I could tell that even though my sleep was suffering from my five-month-old baby, by week three, I had increased energy and motivation. Was it my probiotics? No idea. It was indeed not my 5 hours or less of sleep some nights.

Essentialformulas.com has so much information I took to reading that and a book on probiotics. I need science to back things up, and at least suggest why. I read articles all day ( and night when nursing) because I like to know things. I get it from my dad 😉

The experience of three 3 in one Dr. Ohhira difference?

Constipation? Gone.

Pain after meals: Gone

Relieves occasional gas? Nope. lol

They are now my go to though. I have never felt better and noticed a change in any probiotic like these. They are dairy and gluten free, 100% vegetarian, non-GMO, FREE of artificial additives, chemicals, preservatives, or colorings.

30 years of research, work for me in 30 days? Yeah, I am going to splurge on these every month. I stopped taking them for a week and started to have my returning constipation. By day 3 of restarting, I was back to normal. I know a lot of things go into your body working, but I have never felt better than while taking these.

Other products I tried:

I also got to use their probiotic facial bar! I was breaking out by week three, but the 4th week once they cleared up I was getting comments on how good my skin looked and as a lifetime of acne has reeked a lot of havoc on my face- that was an excellent compliment. I honestly didn’t love the way it made my skin feel but to hear compliments on it? I will certainly keep using this bar until its gone, but I didn’t love it enough to purchase again. The lotion gift was also a bit greasy but smelled like lavender heaven. Not something I would buy again.

Where to Purchase:

You can find it here on Amazon, and see their extensive healthy product family all in one place!

Back to School, Holloween, and Holidays:

Back to school: Talk to your pediatrician on adding these for your kids, and you to help keep the whole family healthy! Like I said up above- 70% of your immune system lives in the gut. Good bacteria can go to work for the whole family.

A study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics showed that kids who were supplemented with probiotics were three times less likely to experience fever, coughs, and runny noses than their classmates who did not receive the probiotics.

BOO! Here comes Halloween!

Sugar is not good for you. We all know it basically tricks our brains into ALL sorts of cravings and things- but the season is upon us and well might as well prepare for it!

The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition states probiotics work with your good gut bacteria to reduce sugar cravings and help keep your blood glucose in the healthy range if you do eat sweets.

The EATING SEASON: Holidays.

Halloween is quickly followed by many holidays in succession. I feel like I am just starting to come out of my food coma in February for my birthday, which is near the Chocolate holiday of Valentines.

Many conventionally prepared Thanksgiving and Holiday menus, albeit delicious, are hard on your stomach. Even if you eat healthy the rest of the year, sometimes your digestive system just isn’t prepared for the onslaught of rich foods. Bloating, indigestion, and a sour stomach are not only triggered by how much you eat, but also by eating certain foods that are difficult to digest. Probiotics, when taken consistently, repopulate the gut with healthpromoting bacteria for better digestion, increased absorption of nutrients, and less gas and bloating
