Yeah! Me too, I always am super good about things for 2-3 weeks. My friend Toni told me when I first arrived in Vegas that it takes 21 days for habits to form. I have bad habits that stick some pretty great habits – that just seem to be tossed into the wind when “Life” happens. For me right now- I am struggling with acceptance of my husband missing practically every holiday and birthday. Last year he came home Christmas Eve, it was the best gift I could have ever received. So, I am a little emotional about it all. Emotions have always gotten the best of me – whether motivating me, or derailing my progress. I think it is normal to become unfocused – but getting back on track is the most important!
I have been on the struggle bus of hydration here in the Desert of Vegas.
Alcohol- Darn those fancy drinks. My distaste for the tap here. Oh and every time we get a case of water for me?
My husband drinks them all- He who “likes” the tap water here. *face palm*
Today I discovered –the extended stay room has a pitcher I can put in the refrigerator- Magically this makes the water taste better. I do not get it, but I actually had a few glasses today before each meal!
I used to be bendy flexible, now touching my toes is hard! – I sadly did not bring my stick or foam roller ( hair products took priority)
I did Google stretching for runners and complete a nice little routine from runners world.com that let me know – MY HIPS ARE TIGHT~!
I am hating this one. I go through stages of really good Gluten avoidance- Then I see something amazing!
I really do not like this goal, but since I said one recipe a week- I am going to let it slide on day 1 and just report I only had gluten at 2 meals today.
So to recap with a grade card:
1. Training- A
2. Hydrating- B
How are you doing, any goals you are working on right now?
