Saturday slump

So I jinxed myself. I was just telling my husband that my energy levels have been doing better as I do boot camp and avoid gluten.

Today was a wtf day. I got normal sleep and yet I felt half asleep ALL day. Think – sipping on Nquil or taking a sleep aid and trying to stay awake? Yep that is how I still feel. I felt this way yesterday too but not as severe. Looking back I was pretty tired all week but just thought I was coming down with something.

Lets put it this way, I took a full dose pre workout that normally would make me bounce off the walls for 24 hours: then didnt make it to the gym. I fell asleep.

I made bread and a cake batter protein shake. . . The highlight of my day. 8 miles is still waiting for me tomorrow. Tinkerbell training!!

Anyone have hashimotos and have any tips?

Some days (or 2 or 3!) we just feel off, tired, not right! It sucks – and hopefully you aren’t coming down with anything!! Good luck on your mileage today! )

I was feeling off a few weeks ago and took two days away from the running. I was sluggish, napped during the day and was in bed really early. I had to take a mental break from my training calendar, it was becoming overwhelming to me. Some days we just need to take a break and not feel bad about ourselves. Rest up and enjoy your run today.

I’m sorry to say I don’t have any tips for you, BUT my energy levels are very erratic. It’s the sole reason why I must go run as soon as I get up in the morning. It seems like sleep doesn’t really affect my energy levels- some days I’m all over the place and being productive and others I’m just trying to summon the energy to hang or fold laundry. I can’t explain it!

      That is a good idea.
