How is your skin doing this winter? Dry,scaly, breaking out, dull, etc.? *Raises hand* I have had PCOS symptoms since I was in High School, but mainly two things that plague my every day life. Acne, and irregular hair growth on my face/body. So as I battle dull, lifeless, winter skin: My chin/jaw is having horrific hormonal acne, and the excessive hair growth on my face is causing ingrown hairs. It is so lovely being a woman sometimes.
I tend to only run into issues during these dry winter months- half of my face is dry and flaky while the other half is red, oily, and breaking out. I literally was researching for help daily, which usually meant I ended up on Sephora browsing tools and products to help my face. I will splurge on things that make my life easier, will work wonders, perform miracles, but when we are on such a tight budget the splurge means anything 50 dollars or less. So a fancy facial cleansing brush that cost $200 dollars to exfoliate my skin? Never happening. Not even if I won the lottery. That is a car payment! The laser that is supposed to cure acne and remove hair? Yeah that is upwards $600- That is a few plane trips home to see family!
From the Website: “Now you can enjoy the rejuvenating spa and dermatologist experiences at home – at a fraction of the cost. This Professional Skin Care System by ToiletTree Products is an advanced daily cleansing tool that helps polish away dull skin and gently exfoliates away impurities that traditional cleansing leaves behind. The result? Wonderfully cleaner, softer, radiant looking skin.”
To say I was ecstatic when Toilet Tree Products contacted me if I was interest in trying their Professional Skin Care System was an understatement. It was literally Christmas and my Birthday over here when it arrived. Well it really IS my birthday this month, but you know what I mean. Also, this system is way under my budget cap for “me” splurges!
Professional Skin Care System
Toilet Tree Water-Resistant Professional Skin Care Face and Body Brush System is my new best friend. It is basically what I was looking for on a real persons budget, only better. It has 4 interchangeable tools! 2 face brushes,1 large body brush and 1 pumice stone for feet that are all used on the water resistant device. It can be used in the shower!!!
I read the directions on the box, and before I even opened it I was preparing to head out in the snow to get batteries. I am glad I decided to open the whole package up before doing so because it comes with it! It was so exciting to just be able to jump in and try it. I was at first put off that it didn’t have a reusable battery, but my less than a year old camera isn’t working anymore due to its reusable battery so good riddance. I can just charge the batteries/ get reusable AA ones.
I love pink, but if pink is not your thing they have 5 more to choose from. I know, I know. Priorities!
I wear a ton of makeup to cover my skin issues. I wash my face with special cleansers, exfoliate as directed, use medication on my face, and I still struggle with terrible skin.
I was so happy it was so easy to use. It suggested if you were going to use the “harder” of the two facial brushes to exfoliate your face, to wash your face first. So I did that using my hands, cleanser, and not the brush. I removed all of my makeup except for my water proof mascara and eyeliner.
I would definitely recommend wearing a headband. The directions tell you to, I just had to learn the hard way. Twice.
Turned it on and experimented with the brush. I was expecting a louder buzz and noise, but it was quite and soft. I was definitely waiting to sandpaper my face, but this was much more gentle and soft than that. I could even push a little harder and it is didn’t stop spinning so I was happy with the level of power for something running on batteries.
This was my results first “round” of using the SAME cleanser I use every day to remove all my makeup- only this time using my exfoliator brush head with it.
Yeah. I rinsed and did another round and the 2nd time it came out like :
I can not BELIEVE that is what I was going to bed with every night. No WONDER I am breaking out all the time- my makeup is still sitting on my face every night!
I experimented with creamy cleanser and foam cleanser. I advise to apply foam cleanser to your face first… this ended up being crazy messy this way…
I experimented with the body brush in my shower too. I tried it with plain body soap, exfoliation gel, and bar soap. All three worked, but for my purposes of prepping to self tan prior to Princess Half Marathon next week- I was attacking all my dry scaly skin with every exfoliation option. I even used the pumice stone head on my elbows. Felt a little weird at first, but my elbows are no longer scary.
After the first night of use I was expecting a MEGA breakout on my face as per usual when I deep clean/exfoliate my face. I think this is why I tend to avoid exfoliating my face and just slathering products on to cover my issues, I HATE the breaking out with new/more painful acne.
Surprisingly when I woke up in the morning my skin was soft, smooth, and less red than the day before. It honestly felt like when I had a facial with my mom a few years ago.
I did end up breaking out more that day, but I switched brush heads and used the softer brush head for sensitive skin that night to just deep clean.
I woke up the next day with less dark spots and a much smoother face. I continue to be amazed every day I use this system.

Great review. I have this, too. It really is a great product.
It is! Glad you enjoy it 🙂
Great to learn more before buying – the foaming cleanser looks heavenly too!
It is! It is also from one of my Fab Fit Fun subscription boxes. I have gotten 3 different face washes so far from the different boxes. I am so happy to use them with the brush now!
I have been wondering about something like this. I don’t have too many skin issues but I’m afraid that I’m not getting everything off my face and that it might make me look more aged. I’m checking into this!
I was never afraid that I was not getting all my makeup off until I saw what happened. I use the soft brush to take off my makeup now. Enjoy!
Sounds like a good product! I use a similar system which is wearing out. I’ll have to consider this one. Thanks!
Glad to give you ideas!
I am so with you on the problem skin. Dark patches? Yep. Adult zits? Of course. I’ve been wanting to try one of those scrubbers forever. I need to just bite the bullet and go for it.
Oh I am so glad I am not alone! I have been noticing them pop up in facial cleanser aisles at the grocery stores, now I know why!!
Sounds like a great system!
I’ve been wanting to find something like this! Great review thanks!!!
Found you on Girls Gone Sporty. Love you blog and I live in Missouri too!!
Have a great day!!
HI!
I also have acne, I got rid of it from 2012-2014 this summer.. And then it came back, so now I’m wondering are you still using this skin care system today? And how is your skin now, do you still get any breakouts ? 🙂
Hope you can answer.
Thank you
