Yay, my first giveaway!!
So, my husband has a career that does not allow for hardly anything to go into his system. By that I mean, he can not just pop a pain pill, or vitamins for that matter without consulting a list to see if they have been approved for him to take. That is the military for you. Disclaimer- I was given these samples at the Mr. Olympia Expo as a guest at the expo. I paid for my entrance, and was not asked to provide reviews or giveaways by the companies for my samples. I am doing so because I liked the results, and wanted to share our extra samples. They may not be right for you, I consulted a health professional before using them, as I take other medications. Please seek care of a doctor or your health professional before using / buying any of these products for your own health.
I have tried a few of the supplements and I am intrigued. I use half the amounts provided usually, but I really do notice a difference in my ability to get through a whole day + workouts. This is HUGE for me as I suffer from fatigue on and off still from my thyroid issues. To be able to crawl into bed after a full bed, tired- but actually making it through the day without a nap or tons of caffeine is a win for me.
I will be honest- I am TERRIBLE at fueling for races or workouts. I kind of never use any (which had me pale as Casper the Ghost at the end of my first half marathon). I just started to get into GU and CLIFF, and honestly they sit in the closet. In my mind I have enough fat to burn- why give my body something else to burn instead. I actually learned a lot at the crazy busy Mr. Olympia Expo – You can read more about it here.
I am giving away a supplements I tried! I did not take these supplements all in one day- Apparently in the world of body building it is called “stacking” .. I am lost – but oh well. I took half doses and only used one product a day.
Morning before breakfast
– These are all interesting supplements to me. I am kind of surprised body builders take so many supplements, but I am testing these out regardless. I am giving away ones I found to be the least caffeinated, and also ones I noticed helped my endurance. You can take them as soon as you wake up, or before a workout. I have been using the products since the expo, and I have lost weight- when I struggle to lose ANY pounds – EVER. I do not know if this is due to my Show me 30 Challenge, or the supplements though. They are called Shred2. They are a thermogenic. Pretty neat. For someone who is always cold freezing, this made me feel normal temp, and my hands and feet were not cold at ALL during the day. Magic right there. I am assuming this will make people with normal metabolisms sweaty? I don’t know. I am so enamored by the whole world of supplements right now, but I bet when I run out of samples in a week I will not purchase full sized products.
Except for maybe …
I might buy :
Pre-workout supplements –
I will not lie. I LOVED this. I was talking fast, I got a little sweatier than normal, and I felt like I could go on for hours in my run.I started using full doses- which was the talking fast and go go go forever mentality. So I switched quickly to only using half doses, and it was a happy medium for me. I felt incredible during my new strength training workouts, boot camp today, and runs. I am doing two workouts a day right now due to half marathon training and the class I signed up for- I love pre-workout juice. Love love love. Both brands were great, I have preference for the drink.
The company I am sharing with the lucky winner is – through Optimum Nutrition pre-workout Energy and Focus – Twisted Apple flavor. I will warn you – It has caffeine like most fuel products do- so check out the label on the packaging to ensure it is right for you. I felt invincible. Is it something I will use everyday? No, but I could see really loving this product as I do harder two a day workouts as a boost.
Black Widow– I have a few packets of these, and I use them a few times. I took one capsule, and to be honest- I never thought I would be excited about a dietary supplement. It suppressed my appetite, and gave me what seemed to be limitless energy. When it came time for bed though, I was ready and fell asleep easy. I never had a crash of energy, and felt really quite amazing.
– We were SO excited to learn about new products involving protein! We are huge post workout fans of protein powders, and learned SO many more products exist for recovery. We were extremely interested in some that were naturally based with coconut water. I tried it- IT WAS WAY BETTER THAN REGULAR COCONUT WATER! Which I find disgusting. Sorry for yelling, it was just so very exciting. Also tried this egg white liquid. Seriously I am ordering gallons as soon as I get home. I am not joking. Shout out to the couple that had Disney Dumbo Dare shirts on while we were at the booth learning about all that. I am sorry I did not include any post workout supplements/ product. It is pasteurized egg whites, used to cook or your protein. The owner was actually teaching us about when to take our protein and how it will help us lose weight/ changing out work out plans/times. It was quite possibly smoother than milk, and takes on any flavor you wish to add to it. It is not thick nor nasty! I wish I would have bought now at the expo, prices are steeper online than what he was selling for there!
So why is the giveaway lacking post workouts? It is actually something my husband can actually use, and likes to use. So he even hijacked mine and most of our free products were post workout. Sorry! – SO for whoever is the winner I am tossing in 2 more pre / during workout samples in addition to the ones pictured. Surprise you get a week ( or two weeks if you use half doses like me ) of things to try! Also, I have some coupons and samples of perform and bio freeze I am tucking in there. I bought the full sized biofreeze, but I like perform too.
Anyways. Today I rocked my goals for the Show me 30 Days challenge. It was the first day of boot camp class, I will post later this week about the class! Training going well!
Water- I guzzled water today. No force, no tricks just was a good day. I also had to stretch a lot, so that is going well. Foam rolling still sucks, and I only did my IT bands today. Nutrition- Doing really well, avoided gluten so far, dinner is yet to come. *Dun dun dun*
