New year, New Goals!

This past year I made goals, but my main goal was to just surivive my first year as a mom.

Breastfeeding was so hard, and honesty it came naturally and mostly was all in my head. My issues were the best kind to have, yet they were still hard on me.

It’s a solo job and really was the hardest part of our first year as a family of three. Oh and my kid sucked at sleep a lot. He got better, thankfully!

Last Years Goals

1. Contact a family member by phone daily. This happened for the most part. I mean the little guy knows ringtones of FaceTime and phone calls and will come running.

  1. Lose 50 lbs. I’m not sure what my starting goal was, but I’ve lost 89 pounds since baby

  2. Write a budget monthly. Oh this happened till summer then fizzled out.

  3. Reorganize the blog and blog 3 times a week. Fail. And fail. Haha maybe 2017

  4. Better vocabulary / no swearing !! For a while it was great, push-ups were a huge motivator not to. Some how it’s back again 😑

2017 goals

1. I’ve always wanted to take better photos before baby. Well baby is now a toddler and I still have such a poor knowledge of how to use my DSLR camera. I know I will always want professionals to take our family photos, but I just want to be able to take special ones for us and document with awesome photos.

2. Journaling can be a sentence in my planner to just making a list to me. Sort of part gratitude journal to just staying organized on my to-do list. I’ve always been so much more successful with my goals when I journal – and blogging used to be that outlet I just know if I make a blogging goal it won’t happen – sticking to short one liners

3. I would like to write monthly blog posts with monthly goals. I feel I was always the most on task, organized, and healthy when I did this! Public goals are inspirational and it will give me a manageable blogging goal 😉

Any goals you are setting for the new year?
