MARVEL STUDIOS ANNOUNCES THOR: RAGNAROK STEM CHALLENGE FOR GIRLS

#THORRAGNAROK

GIRLS, SHOW US YOUR SUPERPOWERS!

Have you discovered the superpower of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math)?
Can you imagine sharing your superpower of STEM on national television? Teachers, parents, and friends of those with girls ages 15-18 pass this post along!

We LOVE Marvel, and so excited to see they are bringing another STEM Challenge for High School Girls! As someone who LOVED the few special Math and Science events I got to attend in high school this is SO exciting.

THOR: RAGNAROK STEM Challenge for girls. The winner will receive a trip to the world premiere of THOR: RAGNAROK and a mentorship with Disney Engineering!! SWOON This is right up my science loving heart . The Marvel Studios THOR: RAGNAROK – “Superpower of STEM Challenge” has begun and goes until September 23rd. Girls ages 15-18, in grades 10-12, are encouraged to channel their superpower of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) for a chance to win a trip to the world premiere of Marvel Studios’ THOR: RAGNAROK, an immersive three-day mentorship in New York City with Disney Imagineering, the opportunity to appear on Good Morning America, and more! Here is a video with Cate Blanchett (“Hela”) that has more information:

THOR: RAGNAROK STEM CHALLENGE FOR GIRLS

Marvel covers so many amazing characters that show strength from brawny men and women, but also intellengence! Encouraging girls to expand their knowledge with STEM is something I have always been passionate about, and LOVE that it is becoming more widespread.

MARVEL STUDIOS’ THOR: RAGNAROK SUPERPOWER OF STEM CHALLENGE invites girls nationwide – ages 15 to 18 in grades 10 through 12, currently living in the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, to use the superpower of STEM for good by creating and sharing an original Do-It-Yourself project that could help your family, your community, or the world be safer, healthier, or happier.

The project you make can be as simple or complex as you want. It can be something practical or something that would bring people joy – a robot, an app, a toy – anything that harnesses the superpower of STEM! You may create a new project or may submit an original project that had previously been developed for a class, for a science competition, or just for fun. Let your imagination and STEM skills run wild!

If you know any girls in your life who would fit the description, please encourage them to apply for the Thor: Ragnarok STEM Challenge! This is an amazing opportunity!!
