So y’all know I work 15 hour days, and if you didn’t you know now. Hehe, all joking aside, I have teetered this line of energy crisis on some days that I don’t get to bed on time.
I have been a HUGE advocate to us reducing our caffeine intake to 1-2 cups of coffee or soda a day while trying to conceive. I read something about caffeine and although we had kicked the caffeine habit ( and soda) once before, it was again back in our lives thanks to 4am wake-ups and 10 pm bedtime.
Early in December Mamma Chia sent me an amazing box full of energy drinks! And thankfully it was during my transition to my new shift that runs so early and so long. It was so nice to not feel jittery, as well as still having the sustained CLEAN energy to continue on. I am not a huge organic person, but the fact it is a clean energy is what sells me, oh and the TASTE! My Favorite is the Cherry Charge, with Raspberry Razz coming up with a close second.
Mamma Chia’s new organic Clean Energy Drink is pretty nifty in how it uses natural sources and nourishes your entire body. One bottle of Mamma Chia Clean Energy (10 oz.) delivers:
- More than an entire day’s worth of Omega-3s (2500 mg)
- 25 percent of one’s daily fiber (6 grams)
- 4 grams of complete protein
- 90 mg of natural caffeine (about as much in an 8 oz. cup of coffee)
- Twice the antioxidants of a cup of green tea
- Calcium, powerful antioxidants and valuable minerals
- 120 calories
For me this is a winning staple in my household now. I have needed to improve my diet since being on the go more and definitely needed more fiber and protein. I have always loved my chia seeds in smoothies, but this is a great way to get some omega, fiber, protein, and some boost in energy without worrying about diet soda effects.
Like all Mamma Chia products, the new organic Clean Energy Drinks are Non-GMO Verified, gluten-free, vegan, Kosher and USDA Certified Organic so they can fit into a variety of needs.
Retailing for $2.99, the Clean Energy organic beverages are available in four flavors and available at select retailers, including Whole Foods, Safeway and Target. They hit the shelves in January, so definitely give them a try!!
