Losing weight while injured- I’ve been here once before.

If I have not said it before, I can not eat my way healthy. I am an emotional eater- be it bored, sad, happy, celebrating, etc. I LOVE food. This would be the problem of how the scale tipped over and then crashed as it fell again.

I have kind of been here before… not as high but here nonetheless. ( Like 30 lbs. difference) I had hip surgery when I was 20 from an injury from rowing in college. That is college sports for ya, oh and the fact I was not in NCAA shape, and they liked to pretend I was because you know it was an NCAA team. The fact is the weight fell off so much faster then, and it is not due to be being 6 years younger. OK, full disclosure I was on a steroid for my hip inflammation FOREVER and once I got off of it the weight kind of fell off, like 20lbs without even thinking. NO wonder I am delusional now. It won’t fall off!!

It doesn’t matter, I started to work hard as soon as I was cleared to do so and I was walking and normal a month month after surgery. Wait, I am not normal but you get my drift. I was running and training for a half marathon running 9 minute miles in less than 6 months post surgery. Yikes!

My point, I had determination. I feel I have determination in me, but it is being squashed and sat on by the lazy person in me.

Lazy blogger- I have definitely not kept myself accountable on here. I am going to try to blog every day starting on the 1st, but I will settle for M-F. I am starting a new challenge by Jon Acuff, and it is all about goal achieving. Perfect timing, no?

I am pretty sure I am getting out of this walking cast on Monday, so I hope to bring great news! I am excited about just being able to walk like a normal person, as well as working out!! I can not wait to start blogging again about workouts, it really keeps me on track. You all know I hate trying to eat my way thin, so working out is going to be wonderful. Funny how I start to meal plan, eat clean, and work extra hard when I have workouts I am kicking’ butt in.

Let me know if you are interested in joining my workout group starting in July, and I am meal planning Monday in a private Facebook group if you are interested.

xo,

Ashley

Thanks! I will be taking what I’ve learned from him just on goals and applying it to working out more specifically. I am desperate to be out if this boot!
