Giant Flask, My Sparkle Skirt, Insane amounts of lo mein that was pink.., and our TICKETS!
Bonjour!
No. I do not speak another language, I wish. Just thinking about Le Rêve made me feel fancy, and to me the French are fancy. ha-ha. ANYWAYS.I am going to post tomorrow on how we got to see this incredible show – for under $100 dollars. Stay tuned!
Le Rêve- The dream. The show apparently changes every 6 months, that’s right, fresh off the press music and choreography – err synchronized swimming/diving/dripping wet acrobatics?
Join the Dreamer as she takes you on a journey of romance, action and fantasy in an intimate Aqua Theater-in-the round.
The Encore is with the Wynn, I love it as well. It is actually near and dear favorite!
Understatement. If you have never been to the Wynn, you should. Out of all the strips attractions, hotel venues, and all that jazz- The Wynn transcends generations. It is just luxury without being snobby, it is high end within reach, it is gorgeous. They were originally planning on naming the Wynn- Le Rêve, so it is no surprise that the show exemplifies all those qualities and more. You walk in and you see plush curtains, leading out to a blue glowing mist on a circle of water, the ceiling is draped in beautiful fabrics, the music is softly playing, soaking all of it already you feel transported to somewhere – dream like.
The show is based in a million gallon tank. The tank has tricks too! First you see the platforms move and sink, and the actors are just dancing on/in the water. Then, magically, they are swimming and diving- but you are not really sure how as there was just metal stuff there a second ago! They were diving from the top of the dome, down into the tank, I still do not know how they avoided all of the metal stuff. Million gallons or not!
“Le Rêve – The Dream, voted “Best Show in Las Vegas,” welcomes you into a warm, romantic and mysterious world.” Ah, yep. I see where this advertisement came from now. They also encourage you to link up social media and GASP take PHOTOS during their show. Unheard of in these types of shows, but to keep this privilege make sure to turn your flash off so you do not harm the performers during their death defying acts.
Just as you start to become mesmerized with the water dancing, diving, swimming, sounds, props, surprises, the show takes it to the seemingly to the sky dome above the water.
Yes. The swimming, dancing, diving, synchronized swimmers suddenly take to the sky and the show is happening on the walls, in the water, and all their gymnastic moves? The are soaking wet. How in the world someone is tossing and catching another person to another wet? It was mind boggling. Your senses take flight as you discover an extraordinary world where dreams swim in the air and dance on water.- Le Reve.
I am going to admit I was a little slow. I went in blind, I just wanted to soak in this twist of a ballet/aerial acrobatics/swimming/diving/music/sets/ without researching what the show was about.
I did catch on it was about beauty and strength, I did feel apart of the dream- But I didn’t understand the dream! Eek! Embarrassing. Here I was sucked into this stunning, intimate, powerful show- and I had no idea the “plot” of the dream. I am going to blame my sensory overload, but really my husband laughed at me. Its ok, you can too! I laughed at myself, but I think I was so immersed in the show I was not reading into the characters actions. Eh, or just didn’t get it. ha-ha. Oh well! It did click near the end without any help from my husband. That is all that counts right??
So if you are in Las Vegas, and are contemplating a show in the category of Cirque shows, this is an incredible choice! Feel a part of the dream, stunning performance in air and water, defying rules of gravity, and just taking your breath away – Le Rêve – The Dream has my vote!
Absolutely blew my mind.
OH! I can not believe I almost forgot!!! Our lovely tickets that we did get so cheap, FIRST ROW! No, do not sit in the first row it is not as exciting as you would think. The performers get you wet. The show is not like a whale at Sea World but you do get splashed, misted, and it kind of happens a lot depending on your seat. I do recommend section B. I felt the show was angled just for us, but there is supposedly not a bad view or seat in the house. Section A was far more full than any other section- I think they knew something we didn’t.
As far for my Daily Check in on goals?
I have only been walking as my feet SUCK, and are in a lot of pain still. Stretching for the goals seemed to improve the pain a little, but it was likely only because I was off my feet. I have been extremely dehydrated since yesterday. We went to Secret Garden at the Mirage, and Hofbrauhaus. I can not seem to replenish what my body seems to want. It could be because I tried my first supplement from Mr. Olympia! Geez I did not even think of that until drafting this. oi
Overall I did well on all of the goals to the best of my ability. That is better than failure everyday in my book.
