Hey Baby: A Collection of Pictures, Poems and Stories from Nature’s Nursery.

The Hey Baby book from National Geographic Kids is just perfect for anyone on your gift list who loves baby animals! I’ll have to admit I love looking at baby animals in this book. Who can resist those cute little faces? I mean you also get to learn cute facts like – Sea otters sometimes hold each other’s hands while sleeping. Adorable. It is a family favorite for all of us.

My little guy loves the zoo, and especially the new baby monkey he gets to watch grow-up week to week. Ever since we have started talking about the baby in my belly, he has become infatuated with Mama and baby animals. People not as much. ha..

I love to buy books, and trying to find ones that are educational, can grow with my kiddo, yet be used for any age because I have a baby on the way? It is so hard to find at times.

I mean I LOVE how excited he gets over the simple ” Are you a cow?” type books, but the Hey Baby book is not only full cute baby pictures, it has sweet stories, folktales, and poems alongside facts about the baby animals growing up!

About the Book:

Hey Baby! is a gorgeous hardcover book that would make a beautiful gift or a treat for yourself. Each animal section has lovely color photographs and loads of information for your child to read about each animal. They’ll learn about where they live, what kind of noises they make, what they eat and a little bit about the culture they live in. Plus, there is information about the folklore surrounding them. Have you ever heard the story about how the zebra got his stripes? You’ll be able to read that story and others along with poems about many of the animals in this book.

Of course, National Geographic and National Geographic Kids have so many wonderful books to choose from for the reader in your life. Younger children will enjoy the Let’s Play Collection for pre-readers that let them learn all about their favorite animals while they learn to read.

One of my readers will win the Hey Baby! A Collection of Pictures, Poems, and Stories from Nature’s Nursery book, how to enter is down below! You have until December 8th, 2017 to enter!

Favorite part of the book?

My son’s favorite part of the book is the pictures, but I enjoy the information we can use to teach him about habitats and animal rescues around the world.

The particular sections about baby animals, Tot Lot, is also a huge favorite here. Everyone gets a good aww and “Cute!” when going through those pages! Tot Lot pages are spread throughout the book, and my little anxiously wants to turn the pages to find his favorite baby owl, EVERY-single-time! So cute, and I love that he gets so excited to read this book with us!
