I need a break! I only have one day off this week, and it is my own doing I have an extra 30 some hours on my schedule…
My first 60 days are literally training during the day, working till 10pm at night, 40 minute commute home.
Please don’t think I am starting the month off complaining, because I LOVE MY JOB.
It has been a LOOOOooonnnggg long time since I was in love with a job. I loved waitressing, I loved retail, and now I love working for a non profit, with people who are developmentally disabled.
I leave exhausted, and I literally will spend 6am-10pm with my clients some days. It is by choice, but I always leave happy. I only had one bad day and that was due to communication with staff, not actual job.
My long winded point?
I am ready to take care of myself finally! I can honestly say August and September were a blur, and I know I did things other than work! I have lots of recaps I want to get up to hopefully jog my memory. Thankfully I snap a lot of pictures 😉
As to curb early burnout, I am going to take October to get back to a schedule of social, fun, and self care. It sounds funny that I need to schedule these things, but I worked 160 hours in 2 weeks one pay period. I think being unemployed too long set my brain on crazy, and I am going to burn out sooner or later. So scheduled fun it is!
I am super bummed I am missing out on the Missouri Pasture to Plate tour across Missouri this week, it looks like my fellow MO bloggers are having an amazing time! I really wanted to go to some of the cities here, as this is the month I have lived here 3 years!!?! And yet to visit where they are going on this trip. Boo to not being out of my first 90 days of work yet.
Super quick recap goals for the month.
Finish two personal development books this month. #girlboss
Finish my Dave Ramsey set of cds on my commute.
Lose 10 lbs. ( 2 lbs down so far)
Complete some sort of workout 2x a week. Half a workout doesn’t count, right?
Do something “fun” to me every week!
Blog 1x a week. (aiming low here…)
