Fueling our mornings with new amazing smoothies in one scoop!

We have been Optimum nutrition fans, since discovering them at Mr. Olympia way back when. They were one of the few brands that were nice to us, which is silly when I look back at those brands not giving so much rudeness back then. I am a strong lady, just not a ripped Mr. Olympia woman. I love weight lifting, protein shakes, and when we do whole30 easy shakes for meals is what I miss the most. Outside of desert.

We have been buying Optimum Nutrition ( ON ) ever since trying some AMAZING samples from our visit to the Mr. Olympia expo. The flavors are amazing; they have the BCAA’s I take currently that is by FAR my favorite of all BCAA’s I’ve tried over the years. Then there is our first love their ever changing line of shakes. There is a shake for before bed, pre-workout, post workout, and their flavors have yet ever to disappoint my husband or me.

They sent me their new Morning shake line to review, one of each kind? It is the first Vanilla flavor protein powder that I could drink without gagging or trying to drown out in fruit. I will be honest I usually can’t drink any Vanilla or cake flavored shake for long. It reminds me too much of the calf milk replacement growing up on the farm, and in my nose smells just like it, therefore tastes like it, and while they always smell sweet something just doesn’t work for me- until this one!

I was going into tasting these, I knew I was going to like the Greek Yogurt line, but wary of the Whey and Oats line of flavors.

I was hoping they would send the Whey and Oats Blueberry muffin, or Chocolate Glazed donut, but man this Vanilla Almond Patry BLEW me away!

I drank it without any added fruit and while it does not blend up, or shake up as thick as the Greek yogurt powder- it was so pleasant! I have found myself using it with Bananas, cinnamon, and almond milk for two weeks straight now! Yum!

 

Ok onto my favorite – It’s a smoothie in ONE scoop, one step, no hassle on the go I get an excellent creamy smoothie for my mornings of crazy.

It did not stir up with a spoon for me, but I have over 30 shakers in my life- You won’t find me ever trying to stir with a spoon again. I say spoon because of the packaging totes easy to blend with just a spoon- The blueberry Greek Yogurt smoothie? It did not. The Whey and oats? Yeah, easy breezy! I think it was all the blueberry pieces, to be honest. But on to the flavor!!

It is the tangy, creamy Greek yogurt you would expect, with fresh blueberry taste. SO thick and all I used was ONE tiny scoop, almond milk, and  SHAKE. Boom thick smoothie on the run. It helps me keep my nutrition in check when all I want to eat is pancakes.

Speaking of I have made protein pancakes for the family with both of these over the last few weeks, and had rave reviews!
