Father’s Day is right around the corner, and I am so excited to celebrate my husbands first fathers day! I always knew he would be an amazing father, and he has taken this bumpy road of raising our son with a smile on his face. Its messy, and lacking sleep, but man I have a great partner helping me along this crazy parenting path. So without further words from me- My husband- Ryan!
Its all worth it.
Father’s Day is a wonderful day to reflect on amazing dads out there. Growing up Father’s Day was a day my dad and I went somewhere together and spent time doing something fun. As I got older and moved away, we had to settle on cards and phone calls. But I never forgot everything my dad had taught me and all the important traits he instilled in me that makes me the dad I am today.
Now that I am a new dad it makes this day even more important. It’s a wonderful feeling being a dad, all the smiles and giggles bring a joy unlike any other. One of the moments that makes it all worth it- was my son saying his first word, which was actually MaMa. Haha…( I bribed him, it was a must do!;-) ) Walking in the door after work and his face lights up and that big smile so happy to see me. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, it is the best part of my day to see him get so excited to see me. So this Father’s Day is tremendously important to me and one I will remember for ever! I can’t wait to take my son out on this special day and teach him how to golf like my dad did for me or how to fly a kite. Father’s Day is a day to be grateful for being a dad because it’s one of the most important responsibilities in a person’s life. And also others to appreciate their dads because they have shaped our life’s and personalities. Every bumpy growth spurt melts away when you get to experience moments that make it all worth it.
This Father’s Day, be sure to snap a photo that celebrates all the sweet little moments of parenting. The ones that scream, “It’s all worth it”. Then, share it on Instagram and be sure to tag your photo with #GrowingUpGerber. It just might be featured as a Gerber pic of the week!
I’d love to hear about your #GrowingUpGerber moments? What makes it all worth it for you?
