5 apps to help you be happy, healthy, and organized.

Losing weight isn’t the only trick to getting healthy, or happy! Here are some of my favorite apps that I use everyday.

Getting healthier can be really challenging when you’re just starting out on your journey, but I’ve personally found these five apps to be lifesavers in staying on track! Better yet, these are all free apps.

1. My Fitness Pal

I LOVE this app. It’s great for accountability to yourself on what you actually eat. I don’t use it merely for calorie counting; I use to track how honest I have been with myself on portion sizes and nutrients.  This app allows you to set and track weight goals, and a community of other people trying to get healthy online. A very useful tool to have to just keep your nutrients in track, it even has has a handy bar code scanner.

2. Happier

I just discovered this app, and I think it is better than any other app. I am addicted to using it, it helps me show gratitude, full of super happy positive people, and overall getting back to the little things in life that make you smile. I discovered this at just the right moment last week when amazing things were happening for me, and I had super negative “friends” trying to dull my sparkle so to speak.

3. Google Calendar

This has been a LIFE saver. I am juggling a ton on my plate, and it has made it possible to not only keep my schedule planned out on my computer- but it syncs with my Gmail, phone, and my husband can see it too. He can see which job I am at, where, details, as well as my to-do list. I could go on for days how I have become more productive with finally setting up this awesome app. I really enjoy setting a task, and due date. It sends little alarms to my phone, because I would forget if I didn’t write it down.

4. Aldi App

Another newer app for me, but Aldi is where I already do 99% of my shopping, it saves me so much money!! Using the app has been great as I normally forget my list at home, and wing it when I get to the store. Which always leads to poor choices, and chips in the cart with a side of ice cream. So, as I use the app to plan my list for the week, I know it will always be on me as I never forget my phone.

5. Pact: Earn Cash for Living Healthy and DietBet

The ultimate in accountability! I use these two when I need to really jump start my goals, and I am seriously sad to admit- money drives this booty to a gym! If I paid for it, I will use it, and I will work HARD! You could earn or lose money by using either of these, in different ways. One you can choose your goal reward or punishment the other betting on yourself to lose 4% of your weight.  Check them both out!
