I know everyone seems to resolve, then fail to complete their fitness goals. I talked the last few posts about a vision board I am working on, and my hopes for 2014. I hope to use my vision board to in some way guide my goals, but in whatever happens I will persevere 🙂
I am not looking for a mind blowing experience of a year, as 2013 was a BIG year, and so was 2012, and 2011. I predict 2014 the year is not going to be as monumental, but that’s OK with me.
I am diving head first into a lot of things this month all health related but not fitness related. I am going to Tinkerbell, and if I get swept, so be it. I am still not cleared to start walking for exercise as of today, but I am hoping for some race day magic.
I am going to be posting the next few days about a few different things I am doing to stay super focused on health goals through April.
But for now I am going to start on T25! I received it as a gift for Christmas, and have tried a few of the workouts here and there, but finally got around to putting the calendar up and looking everything over.
I am TERRIBLE at consistency when left to my own devices. I just end up on the internet or doing something quite the opposite of what I started out to do. This could be starting to clean then finding Harry Potter to read, or Starting a workout, and deciding it sucks and calling my grandma.
I am good at lists so I got out my favorite type of list making paper ( a legal pad ) and jotted down 5 things and did them.
I had a bigger list of 10 things and only three things got done. So I am sticking to instant gratification. Which leads me to my goals. I am still tinkering if I will do a weekly goal, or monthly list. I like the instant I win! feeling, but have not found a way that works best. I like both, just have not found the most effective way yet.
I got to google chat with my husband for a LONG time this morning. 30 minutes or so? Maybe give or take. It was great. It was one of those, I am sitting at the computer and just typed furiously. Looking back at it right now, it sort of looks like I was on speed. The excitement was just not containable.
I got a great amount of things done today! It truly was the most productive day of my week, and I think it is because I slapped some makeup on my face and got grooving. I used to be that girl that would sacrifice sleep to do my hair and makeup, have jewelry and perfume on every day and high heels.
WELL. That kinda stopped in college and just became a bar thing.
Now my heels, dresses , and cute clothes are collecting dust- I pull make up out if I am going to a party, and I never unpacked all my jewelry.
Sweet…
I think my goal for next week is to put myself together every day. ( picture proof via instagram)Â
I had some GREAT planning with the hubby today about out 2014! So although I may not be making a specific goal we made a GREAT goal for 2014 which I will share with you a little later this month as I research more 🙂
Here is hoping you are finishing the week out strong and healthy! Happy Friday tomorrow!
You know I need to do better with just little stuff like that too. I really need to each week, write down my plan of attack instead of winging it like I usually do! Sounds like you’ve got a busy next few days ahead of you!
